Three weeks from today, Geert Wilders will go on trial in Amsterdam for defaming Islam.

From the point of view of the Counterjihad, this is the trial of the century. No matter which way the case is decided, the outcome will profoundly influence the struggle against Islamization over the entire continent of Europe, and even across the rest of the Western world.

PC Police Aim To Kill Free Speech In Amsterdam Trial January 20 – Europe Returns To 1633

So, I know what you’re wondering.  Who’s the old man with the beard in the above portrait?  He was Galileo Galilei, Italian physicist, inventor of the telescope, astronomer, lecturer, and author.  In 1633 he was indicted, jailed, interrogated, prosecuted, convicted by a jury of ten Roman Catholic Cardinals and ordered into prison by the Pope.  Galileo’s crime was that he wrote a five-hundred page book, in which he presented scientific evidence clearly demonstrating that the Earth was not at the center of the Universe.

Any one who still claims that the trial against Geert Wilders MP, leader of the Party for Freedom (9 seats in Parliament and 27 in the polls), which starts on the 20th of January, is not a political process: get a grip. Accused by the Dutch ‘Openbaar Ministerie’ exactly a year ago for insulting Islam, comparing the Koran to Mein Kampf and delivering hate speeches, the coming trial against Wilders suddenly got a Kafkaesque and potentially murderous twist. Finally, seven days before his first day in Court, all fangs were out and faces off.
