The Florida Security Council announces the first appearance of the Honorable Geert Wilders, in the State of Florida. Mr. Wilders will screen his controversial film, FITNA, speak and provide a time for Q & A.
Mr. Wilders is a member of Parliament in the Netherlands and the leader of the Party for Freedom. He is Europe’s most eloquent defender of freedom of speech and conscience and also its most eloquent enemy of radical Islam. As a result of speaking out against hate speech laws and other tactics European jihadists use to undermine Western culture, Mr. Wilders has received death threats and is under 24 hour protection.
But he has refused to be silenced and through his eye-opening film, FITNA and his public appearances has continued to stand up against the advances of militant, supremest Islam.
On January 21, 2009, Mr. Wilders own government filed criminal charges against him as reported in the BBC news.
"The Amsterdam appeals court has ordered the prosecution of member of parliament Geert Wilders for inciting hatred and discrimination, based on comments by him in various media on Muslims and their beliefs, the court said in a statement." The court also considers appropriate criminal prosecution for insulting Muslim worshippers because of comparisons between Islam and Nazism made by Wilders, it added.
