Parliamentary Questions about the OIC condemnation of a cartoon contest in the Netherlands

Parliamentary questions from the members Wilders and De Roon (both PVV) to the Minister of Foreign Affairs about the OIC condemnation of a cartoon contest in the Netherlands

1.)
Are you familiar with the condemnation by the OIC of the planned Mohammed cartoon contest in the Netherlands(*)?

2.)
Do you find it normal that the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), an organization that mainly consists of non-free Islamic countries where people have never heard of the concept of freedom of speech, interferes in the way in which freedom of opinion is exercised in the Netherlands?

3.)
What do you think of Article 22 (a) of the so-called "Cairo Declaration of Human Rights in Islam" adopted by the OIC, which states that opinions can only be freely expressed “in such manner as would not be contrary to the principles of the Shari'ah.”
4.)
Do you agree with us that the Sharia is reprehensible and barbaric and is at odds with freedom? Do you share our view that countries that cherish the Sharia, just like organizations that do so, such as the OIC, should not be taken seriously and must be forcefully opposed? If not, why not?

5.)
Do you agree with us that the freedom of speech, as we know it in the Netherlands, should never be limited by the backward sharia, also and precisely if this means that we do something that is prohibited by the Sharia? If not, why not?

6.)
Are you prepared to make very clear in the strictest terms to this sharia club called OIC and to all its member states that the Netherlands is not a sharia state but a free country, in contrast to the OIC countries, that the Netherlands strongly condemns sharia and does not care in the least about interfering statements? If not, why not?
