PVV shocked by Turkey’s release of man who tried to murder Danish journalist Lars Hedegaard

Parliamentary questions of Geert Wilders MP and Raymond de Roon MP (both PVV) to the Dutch Minister of Foreign Affairs

1.)
Have you taken note of the news that Turkey has released the man who, in February 2013, tried to murder the Danish journalist Lars Hedegaard in Copenhagen and who was subsequently arrested in Turkey (*) ?

2.)
Do you share our view that it is a scandal that Turkey released the man who committed an attack on Lars Hedegaard? If so, are you willing, in the context of the fight against terrorism, to express the Dutch outrage about this event?

3.)
Do you agree with us that the Netherlands should do everything it can to help Denmark put pressure on Turkey to rearrest the man who attacked Lars Hedegaard and extradite him to Denmark?

4.)
Do you agree with us that a country that releases terrorists does not belong in NATO?

Wilders: Scandalous decision of the Public Prosecutor

PVV leader Geert Wilders finds it incomprehensible that the Public Prosecutor has identified him as a suspect.

Wilders: "It is a scandal. While the world is on fire, the Public Prosecutor is targeting a Member of Parliament who draws attention to the problems. It would be better if the Public Prosecutor spend more time focusing on Dutch jihadists who leave for Syria. More than three quarters of them are Moroccans. This decision is absurd."
