It is an honor to be here, among so many colleagues. Thank you Steve for inviting me here at the Conservative Opportunity Society.

I am a politician under attack. For over ten years now, I have been living under 24 hour police protection. I am on the death list of Al Qaida. The Pakistani Taliban also want me dead and terrorists from the Islamic State in Syria made similar threats. In order to be safe, my wife and live in a safe house and have stayed in army barracks and even in prison cells, actually the same cells and beds where the Lockerbie suspects were held in the Netherlands. I am driven around in armored cars and even during TV debates in election time in my home country I have to wear a bullet proof vest. Leftist and liberal activists call me a xenophobe and a racist and the extreme right calls me a Zionist and Mossad agent because of my love for Israel.

Dear friends, hallo Germany, hallo Dresden!

Thank you for being here tonight. Thank you for being with so many.

It is a privilege to be speaking to you in the beautiful Elbestadt Dresden.
For the past 22 weeks, you have gathered here every Monday,
together with thousands of German patriots.

In bad weather, in good weather,
in pouring rain and in stormy winds,
you were always here,
Dresden zeigt, wie's geht!

I know how difficult it is, especially in Germany, to be proud patriots. There is a lot of resistance.
In my eyes, you are all heroes.
And I applaud you.

Liebe Freunde, hallo Deutschland,
hallo Dresden!

Vielen Dank, dass ich heute hier sein darf. Vielen Dank dass ihr mit so vielen hier seid.

Es ist eine Ehre für mich, heute zu euch zu sprechen, hier in der schönen Elbmetropole Dresden.
In den letzten 22 Wochen habt ihr euch hier Montag für Montag zusammen mit Tausenden deutscher Patrioten versammelt.

Bei schlechtem und bei gutem Wetter,
im strömenden Regen und bei stürmischem Wind.
Ihr wart immer hier!
Dresden zeigt, wie's geht!

Ich weiß, wie schwierig es besonders in Deutschland ist, stolze Patrioten zu sein. Es gibt viel Widerstand. Aber in meinen Augen seid ihr alle Helden.
Und ich applaudiere euch.

Geert Wilders MP, leader of the Dutch Party for Freedom (PVV), will hold two speeches in Washington DC in late April for members of the US Congress.

On Wednesday April 29th, he will speak at a reception offered to him by Congressman Louie Gohmert (R, TX).
That same day, he speaks at the invitation of Congressman Steve King (R, IA) at the breakfast meeting of members of the US Congress belonging to the renowned Conservative Opportunity Society, a group founded in 1984 by Newt Gingrich, former Speaker of the House of Representatives.

Wilders: "I feel deeply honored by the invitations. In my speeches I will warn my American colleagues of the dangers of Islamization."

After his visit to Washington, Geert Wilders travels to Garland, Texas, where on May 3rd he will give a speech and award a prize of $10,000 for the best Muhammad cartoon.
