Heute wurde vor mehr als 20.000 Teilnehmer bei der Pegida Demonstration ein Grußwort von PVV-Fraktionsvorsitzender Geert Wilders vorgelesen:

Meine lieben Freunde in Dresden,
Es ist wirklich fabelhaft was hier in Dresden passiert. Dresden zeigt wie's geht. Ganz Europa schaut auf euch. Ihr seid nicht allein. Ihr seid Teil von etwas ganz Großem. In Deutschland, in Holland, in ganz Europa. Ihr erfüllt die Hoffnung vieler. Ihr seid die Stimme des Volkes gegen die Eliten. Ihr seid das Volk!

In Deutschland haben die Menschen genug davon.
In Holland haben die Menschen genug davon.
In ganz Europa haben die Menschen genug davon.

Genug von dem Terror und dem Hass.
Genug von den Anschlägen, genug von dem Blutvergießen.
Genug von der Islamisierung.
Genug von den politischen Eliten,
die unsere jüdisch-christliche Identität und unsere Traditionen verraten,
die Zukunft unserer Kinder zerstören,
und den Ausverkauf unserer Länder und unserer Zivilisation betreiben.
In ganz Europa sagen die Menschen "Wir sind das Volk"! Und wir sind es leid!

Ich unterstütze euch von Herzen. Millionen in Europa unterstützen euch. Ich bin stolz auf euch.
Wir wollen, was ihr wollt: ein freies Volk, ein freies Land, ein zivilisiertes Land, und keine Islamisierung.
Lasst uns dafür gemeinsam kämpfen! Keiner kann uns stoppen.

Jan 23 (Reuters) - Dutch anti-Islam politician Geert Wilders is counting on concern over Paris militant attacks to help him "paralyse" the centre-right coalition government and stake a claim to greater national influence.

Accused by critics of inflaming tensions in a land that has long welcomed workers from Morocco and Turkey, Wilders goes into local elections on March 18 with his Freedom Party commanding about 25 percent support -- far more than any other and enough, possibly, to give him a blocking vote in the Upper House.

Wilders, who has lived under 24-hour security since the murder of Dutch filmmaker Theo van Gogh a decade ago by an Islamist militant, says he will make forays onto the street to campaign. But he will appear in public only briefly surrounded by bodyguards.

Less than 24 hours after the recent terror attacks in Paris, I caught a train in Amsterdam bound for the Binnenhof, the elaborate lakefront complex at The Hague and home of the Dutch Parliament. I was there for a hastily arranged meeting with Geert Wilders, a veteran member of the House of Representatives and Islam's arch-nemesis in Europe.

Security was tight that afternoon. Twice on the labyrinthian route to his office, I emptied my pockets, walked through metal detectors and watched as guards dug through my camera bag. Behind the key card-controlled door to his office, I was a little surprised to find Wilders, alone and standing behind his desk.
