The Political Risks

Based on the latest online poll from De Telegraaf, prosecuting Geert Wilders for his "discrimination" against Moroccans will not be without its political risks.

79% of respondents answered "no" to the question "Do you agree with the prosecution of Geert Wilders for his statement about 'fewer Moroccans'?",
while 76% answered yes to the question "Wilders claims that he says what 'millions of Dutchmen' think. Does he also speak on your behalf?"

Wilders: Decision to prosecute me is incomprehensible

Wilders: "I have said what millions of people think and find. For the second time, one apparently wants to deal with someone who speaks the truth. It is a travesty that I have to defend myself in court for this. The Public Prosecutor would do better to devote his time to prosecuting jihadis instead of me. The Party for Freedom is the largest party in the polls. Apparently the elite does not like that."

Statement of Geert Wilders MP during his interrogation by the Dutch State Police

Today, Dutch parliamentarian and PVV leader Geert Wilders made a statement during his interrogation by the Dutch State Police. The State Police interrogated Mr Wilders on behalf of the Dutch Public Prosecutor who is considering to prosecute Mr Wilders because the politician had asked his voters during the election campaign whether they wanted more or fewer Moroccans in the Netherlands.

Geert Wilders MP: "It is my task as a politician to name the Moroccan problem which we have here in the Netherlands. In my statement, I made clear that I will never let anyone silence me in my fight for freedom and against the Islamization of the Netherlands. No matter the cost, no matter by whom, whatever the consequences may be. I assume that the Public Prosecutor will decide not to prosecute me. Any other decision cannot be interpreted otherwise than politically motivated."
